Our friendly and professional office staff are an integral part of The Place of Houses. They keep our company running at top efficiency and help us deliver the best in customer service.

Justin Ricklis - Office Manager and Assistant to Owner

From his desk deep within the office, Justin Ricklis spear-heads many sweeping secretarial campaigns, from directing calls to tracking files to wrangling contractors to dropping off mail. When he is not dispatching his normal in-house duties, he is either strolling with Gunner or working at The Place of Houses’ beautifully picturesque Swinney Switch waterfront lots out by Lake Mathis. He is a graduate of the University of Dallas, a small private college located in Irving, TX. He majored in English Lit, which is why he’s working in real estate. He has since discovered a formerly unknown attraction to contractual language—a fact he admits hesitantly and with a little shock. He wishes everyone an excellent day.

Gloria Clute - CPA

Gloria Clute, CPA, has been with The Place of Houses for the past two years on a part-time basis. Her experience has been in public accounting, from which she recently retired from her full-time position. Gloria is in charge of financial matters at The Place of Houses and hopes to utilize her expertise in continuing and enhancing the company’s ventures in the real estate and interior design markets.

Madeleine Sophie Ricklis - CPA Assistant, Resource Librarian

Madeleine Sophie Dunne Ricklis comes from one of the pioneering families of Corpus Christi. She attended Maryville College in St. Louis, MO, and the University of the Americas in Mexico City, majoring in Art History. Her love of antiquity lead her to manage a local antique store for several years and then to work with her archaeologist husband, Dr. Robert Ricklis, processing artifacts found from projects around the Coastal Bend. She is now the resource librarian for The Place of Houses Interior Design Department and assistant to the CPA.

Michelle Stites - Office Assistant

Michelle Stites is currently a student at Texas A&M Corpus Christi studying Psychology. She lived in the Calallen area growing up, and was an active member of the FFA raising livestock and participating in judging competitions. She spends her time in the office answering phones, taking Gunner for walks, and taking on what ever tasks Justin throws at her.

Gunner Giegerich - Office Greeter

Gunner Giegerich is one of the lynchpins of the office, as his loyalty to The Place of Houses is great and inexhaustible. He specializes in sitting, running, having his belly rubbed, and sniffing things out, and is perhaps a leader in each of these disciplines. His favorite foods include Whoppers, paper towels and homemade tamales. He is an avid and tireless lover of people and greets everyone who comes into the office with enthusiasm and an open mind. Some folks argue, in fact, that it is worth dropping by just to give Gunner a good petting. He certainly doesn’t object.
