New Years is always a fun time in Corpus Christi- with many great places to watch the fireworks. Even if you’re not a fan of the lights show, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate the beginning of the New Year.

Here are some ways to make your New Years Eve an unforgettable one:

Go to a New Years Eve Party

Bring in the New Year with the people you care about the most and attend a New Years Eve Party. Various hotels, bars, and event spaces in Corpus Christi are hosting parties on the 31st. Parties include, but are not limited to, Omni Hotel’s “Midnight on the Bay NYE Party” and House of Rock’s “El Dusty’s Tropicoso: NYE”. Each of these events is subject to a respective ticket price and will begin at various times throughout the evening.

Watch the Fireworks

There is nothing more signature than starting off the New Years with a bang. Gather your friends and family for a special time under the fireworks, subject to take place at different locations throughout Corpus Christi. Some places to view the light show include the beach or even your own backyard, depending on your view. Oso Grille and Pier will be hosting their own New Years Eve open mic night, with a bonfire and fireworks to accompany.

Participate in a New Years Marathon

Kick your New Years off to a great start by participating in an athletic marathon. On January 1st, the Corpus Christi Polar Bear Plunge and Chilly 2-Mile Challenge will take place, each subject to their own registration free. Hosted annually, the Corpus Christi Polar Bear Plunge brings light to ALS - with 100% of its registration fees going towards the cause. The Annual Chilly 2-Mile Challenge will take place at the Collier Pool at 9:30 a.m. and is open for registration to all ages.
