  • First, let me tell you that my husband and I have moved a total of 23 times, but only three of those times required us to sell a house.  That being said I know what actions need to be taken to make the most of your home
  • First and foremost you need to hire an experienced real estate agent after interviewing at least three agents.  Of course, I'd like you to hire me, but only if you think I'm the best fit.
  • Clean everything!!  I know cleaning is not fun, but it is so important to show your home at its best - especially for the professional photoshoot
  • Depersonalize your home so that the buyers can envision themselves in your house without being reminded of the previous owners (that's you).  Take this opportunity to start packing up your stuff!
  • Let the light in through those freshly cleaned windows.  Everyone loves light.
  • Remove excess furniture and clutter.  Another opportunity to get rid of the stuff you don't really use and pack up what you can.
  • Spruce up the exterior of your home to make your curb appeal shine.
  • Perfect the Entryway.  Everyone wants to feel welcomed, so don't neglect this first impression.
  • Finally be flexible with showing times, keeping in mind that the more people to view your home the greater the chances are of finding that perfect offer!
